I have an Asus laptop (I'm not sure the exact kind, sorry!) and accidentally spilled apple juice on it. The laptop is fine but it's been a little over a week and the keys are now starting to stick when I press on them. The sticky keys are u, i, o, p, and 'enter'. So, how can I take the keys off and clean the laptop without damaging it? Also, how do I get the keys back on? Thank you!

Hi I work at Acer,

1. The best way to start, is take the keyboard out, easily done by taking the 2 or 3 screws out the bottom and picking the keyboard out (depends on model).

2. Then spray with cleaning liquid and use a tooth brush,

3. An last measure would be to then start picking off the keys - be careful tho as these do break the little clips under the key (added a pic taking from Gimages)

note to taking off the keys - some lift off from the top and some from the right side

Hope that helps

Don't. Most laptop keys are more likely to break or break the clips on the keyboard itself than to come off correctly. You are better to get some switch cleaner from a good electronics store. spray lightly under the keys and it will gradually dissolve the mess. You may need to do this more than once to eventually free them off properly.
