Its not really that its SLOOOW it's just that when i get into the internet, once i click white space, an ad comes up and i have to click out of it. Then i search to wherever i'm going and when i get there, again i click white space, or anything for that matter, and another ad comes up. Its just annoying, and i've heard of people getting discs to completely wipe their computer clean which basically makes it new, that's kinda what i'm going for, but any easy free way that helps at least a little is appreciated! Thanks this is just not my specialty.

1. Run an adware/spyware scan. A good free program that does this is called Malwarebytes (get it at http://malwarebytes.org). Removing adware/spyware from your computer could instantly speed it up.

2. Defrag your computer. Defragging will realign information on your hard drive and could improve system performance. You can search the internet for a tutorial about how to defragment.

3. Reformat your computer. This is what you were saying about wiping your computer clean. If you have the Operating System CD that your laptop came with, you can use it to reformat your computer. Again, search online for answers about reformatting.

If you need help with any of the above steps, feel free to send me a message.

Defragment ur drives once now and then get a good anti virus make sure ur PC is clean of virus, leave at least 10GB space in ur windows drive (mostly C:) and if still ur pc isn't performing well try closing all the unwanted prrograms running in the backgroud... And if nothing helps increase ur RAM !

You can download & install CCleaner from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

CCleaner can help you

- Disable unwanted programs launching at start up

- Disable unwanted add-ons in the web browser you use like Firefox or Chrome or IE

- Clean out stale entries from Windows Registry

- Remove programs that you don't use often

If you have Windows installation discs, then you can use them to install fresh copy of Windows. Make sure you backup important stuff to external hard drive or flash drive
