Hi,

I strongly say no to the sleep mode activity while updating windows. It is better, if you stop the installation and continue with it when you are again ready to go online.

Any kind of erratic installation can cause problems in your OS update and can create problems

You'll royally mess up the Windows Updates that are installing or even Windows itself by putting your laptop in sleep mode.

no...it can't be in sleep mode while doing windows update....just leave it on overnight if you are in a time crunch...or restart the windows updates in the morning if it is safe to do so!

you could close it but i think it would mess up the installation. if you can, plug it in and just leave it at work for now. just tapping the power button once might work.
