Which will run faster? Windows 7 Ultimate or the ever reliable (but aging) Windows XP?. I never tried installing Win 7 on a low spec Intel Atom netbook before. Thanks.

If you're feeling frisky, you can probably run Mac OS X on it with Quartz Extreme and Core Image support, as that netbook has a GMA 950 integrated graphics adapter. Windows 7 will feel very sluggish on this model because of the GMA 950. Otherwise, just get a normal version of Ubuntu or stick with Windows XP with Service Pack 3.

Windows 7. But be mindful, it may be hard to get support for some of your things like your camera. Love Windows 7 Ultimate, Been running it for 6 months now on a netbook computer.

I have the similar specs like your computer in a MSI u120 netbook and Windows 7 runs just as good if not faster than Win XP

Windows XP will be better on the slow 1.6 GHz Atom processor

Windows XP is cheaper to buy these days.

But I would recommend 7 all the way.
