I got some money and i am thinking of buying a new laptop. My current one works it is just slow for when i do editing and html coding, i have got a Toshiba Satellite C850 which has a Intel Celeron 1000M with 320gb hdd and 2gb ram (which i have upgraded to 6gb).

The one I am thinking of getting is a HP ProBook 450 G2 which has a Intel Core i5 5200U, 4GB of ram which i would upgrade to 8GB when i get more money and a 500GB hdd.

Would it be worth the upgrade or will it be no difference?

Thanks

Upgrading from Intel Celeron 1000M to 5th generation Intel Core i5 will definitely make difference. If you do video editing, then fast processor will render videos faster

Since your Toshiba Satellite has lasted many years, how about getting another Toshiba laptop with 5th gen i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive & Windows 10?

I repair laptops. I would NOT recommend an ASUS or HP laptop. If I were to purchase a laptop I would definitely purchase a DELL.

I have a 4 year old Dell XPS 8500 desktop & my wife has a 6 year old Dell 17R laptop. They have NEVER given us an issue. The laptop is still on its original battery.

If you are just typing text and surfing install Linux Ubuntu on your current laptop with Apache Open Office, and upgrade the RAM.

Well, if you just do editing, surfing the web and watching videos from time to time it would be A LOT better.

If you want to do something more, such as playing games then, you would need a graphics card (GPU).You didn't say the name of your GPU so I assume its integrated.
