I own a Sony VAIO 64-bit running on windows 7. The model is VAIO VPC-EB33FM/BJ. It has custom components, not the standard one that you would buy in a store. I've had it for almost 2 years now.

I have always had a problem with the computer overheating and the fan being extremely loud. However latley, the computer has sometimes been making clicking, chirping, and screaching sounds occasionally. It gives the impression of that something got stuck in the fan or that a part of the laptop is buring out or dying.

I went to a professional in my area who had a handful of good reviews. I explained my problem and he said that he would stress test my latop and take it appart to see what was wrong. It took way longer then I expected and I recieved my computer 5 days later.

My mom brought the computer home but she did not understand what happened because she can barley speak English and the guy who works at the computer shop is no better. She said that he said that he cleaned something (I'm guessing he took the dust out with compressed air.) And didn't charge her anything and said that my computer was perfectly fine.

(IF YOU ARE LAZY YOU CAN JUST READ THIS PART!!)
When I turned my computer on it acted as it did before. It let of a humming and behaved normally. After clicking something on the internet, black and white horizontal lines appeared on the screen. They then disappeared and something strange happened to my computer. Everything was very pixel-y and the colors where really off. The mouse and my desktop looked really old. Black squares surrounded eat icon. The start menu was grey and looked like something from windows 98....

When I closed the google chrome window everything returned to normal. I found this happened randomly, but ALWAYS when I opened the internet game "runescape."

I used two good anti virus programs and ran a fun scan and got nothing. I tried using different browsers. I restored my computer to the last know good setup. I restarted my computer. I put all my important items on a flash drive just in case. None of these things helped.

How do I try to fix this? How do I stop the screen from acting this way? How can I fix the painful breaking sound the computer makes sometimes?

Or is there no way to fix the computer and do I need to save money for a new one?

You might be running the wrong Operating system on your computer, thus over working the the processor, causing the over heating.

Those sound you describe are coming from the hard disk. it might be a sign that it has problems and needs to be replaced.

Get the computer to another repair shop and get a second opinion.

I can't decide if you have a hardware or software problem...or both. In case malware is involved...

Try this:

Firstly, boot your computer to the Safe Mode menu screen. You do this by repeatedly pressing F8 as soon as you boot up. Once there, use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode with Networking. Continue to boot from there, by pressing Enter.

If that's successful, download and run TDSSKiller.exe from Kaspersky Lab. It's tiny, and takes just a minute to run. It hunts down and kills a specific family of rootkits:

Regardless of the results, download the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM). Install it, get updates and run a full scan (still in Safe Mode). This is a direct download link. Copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar, and press Enter.

After that, boot normally and run another full scan with MBAM. It will detect any malware that wasn’t running in Safe Mode.

If the problem still exists, download and run the free Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool:

You should now delete TDSSKiller.exe and the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, as updated versions are often made available. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware can be easily uninstalled, should you wish to do so, but it may prove to be beneficial in the future.

Hope this helps.

For one thing you should never have more than one Anti-virus programs installed on your computer. I noticed you said you ran a scan with both of your anti-virus programs. Personally, I believe I would think about buying another computer.

You should aim to buy the most expensive computer that's of lowest quality possible!

That's what i always do anyway :)
