This is what the instructions on my Toshiba Satellite laptop say:

To copy the window or screen contents

To make a copy of the active window, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN.

To copy the entire screen as it appears on your monitor, press PRINT SCREEN.

Note

To paste the image into a document, click the Edit menu in the document window, and then click Paste.

There must be one button over which the phrase "Print Screen" or "Prnt Scrn" is written.

Press Function key along with that key to capture screen image.

press the print screen button, open word and paste. I just did it and I pressed ctrl and v to paste it in.

If you can't find the print screen it may be on a fn key.
