My laptop get hanged while making voice chat?

I gotta HP Pavilion dv 6000 laptop, since 2 weeks when ever i try to make voice chat using yahoo messenger or G Talk it gets hanged, but on the contrary i can do the normal chat using messenger. Once it get hanged even all the running application on the laptop get hanged. I'd like to know why i am facing this problem and whats the solution for the same. friends kindly help me with the solution.

try this to free up the cache

Over time IE7 seems to set its own (or programs do) tick boxes in the advance tab.

In IE7 Tools >Internet Options >Advance Tab

Click Restore advance settings defaults button.

Then scroll the listings down to near the bottom and:

1. Tick empty temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache, which if not empty, will stop you from going online).

2. Bullet disable phishing filter (optional. Leave it on if you want that type of protection, usually for financial data like internet banking)

Delete Browser History, cookies, add ons, the whole lot regularly.

Close the browser to set the settings.

i think your laptop havin softeatr problem..

press ctr+alt+del see the cpu usage..if its hight..then its means unnecessary proces are running.

else

goto->start->run->type msconfig->go to TAB startup->disable all->ok-restart.

run->%temp%->ctrl+a->shift+del

Try increasing your RAM to 4GB or higher.
