If you are only doing word process, browsing the web and need the laptop to be lightweight then the Dell LS series and the HP 500 Series are good choices. You can find an older refurbished on for $400 to $500. If you are looking for a newer one all the major manufacturer's sell them ... Dell, Lenovo (IBM), HP and Toshiba. These newer light weigh units tend to be $600 to $700.

I love my 12" Apple Powerbook!



In terms of processing power per $, it's hard to find a better buy.

Try TwinHead. It's a new brand but the product is good. I'm using a model of twinhead now.
