I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series wich currently has 512MB hypermemory (according to geeks3D GPU Caps viewer) but does that mean increasing RAM from 4 to 8 increase my FPS too?

the RAM on a video card belongs to the GPU

the RAM on your Mainboard belongs to your CPU

they are not the related.

buying a better Video card with more Stream Processors(part of the GPU) and faster clock(the clock of the video RAM) will increase your FPS. They help to increase its Throughput and processing capabilities.

Your Mainboard chipset has a LIMIT to its THROUGHPUT.

newer chipsets have HIGHER Throughput capabilities.

so a higher throughput mainboard is better

and a higher throughput gpu is better.

because the HD4500M is configurable by the OEM, the actual measured capabilities for the same gpu will vary according to what Video Ram is fitted.

Having more video ram helps the Game Writers use more techniques for gameplay but that does not mean they have to use the extra ram.

No ram increases general multitask speed and basically faster processes. But fps depends upon gpu and cpu. Increasing ram wont do the trick

FPS will increase as it can handle more information at a time.
