Question:
Recommend a laptop for me?

I am looking to purchase a new laptop. I do not want to spend more than about $700.

I mainly use my laptops for Internet surfing and e-mail, iTunes and music storage (I would need something that could easily store 2,500+ songs with room to spare), and watching online videos such as YouTube and streaming TV shows from NBC.com and such.

I am trying to steer clear of Dell. My last laptop was a Dell, and I had problems with the motherboard and AC adapter within a few months of purchasing it. I had it for only 2 years before it just gave out on me.

I have heard that HPs are good, and the Sony Vaio as well. I would not be opposed to a Mac, but I think these start around $1,000. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Hi, I would always recommend a Macbook to everyone mainly because of Mac OS X and the look of the laptop. If u can get that then get it :)

Mac OS X is Unix done with style ;) I am telling u that u will love it, it has a great interface, awesome apps, decent eye candy and some cool stuff like widget layer that makes the system look very elegant.

I don't really like Windows but u could get a Hp, they r nice or how about an IBM Lenovo Thinkpad? They r really cool in my opinion. Then u can even install Linux on them :)

Get a Macbook, if not that then an IBM Lenovo thinkpad and if not that then a Hp.

You can check out Linux if u like, the best is openSUSE.

I think you should either get a mac (kinda pricey) or a vaio..all my pcs/laptops are vaios and ive never had any trouble with them (tried plenty of other companys but most of em were horrible)(stay clear of compaq..theyre laptops die usually within half a year)
