Hello so i bought a new computer today and i am started to think i should of waited longer? I'll tell you the full story. So on jan 4th 2010 i bought a laptop used off kijiji and it was fine when i got it except there was a line at a certain tilt on the screen but it would dissapear at the normal angle as well the battery was almost depleted so about 2 months later the red line started to appear and by now i didnt have there phone number or address cuz it had been 2 months. And around this time the battery wouldnt hold a charge and it would shut down sometimes when the power brick would over heat.

So i got a new battery for it and a fan so now it wouldnt overheat and the battery is lasting about 1hr to 1hr and 30 mins ( 17inch pc) as well now there was 2 lines on the screen one red one green hoth on the left side but beside that it was functioning okay.

So starting sept 2010 i had saved up some money and gift cards to buy a new computer when this one died thinking it would be soon. So as of today it is still working and i went to futureshop to buy some movies and got talked into buying a computer and i bought the one i was thinking about as well and heres the specs if you want to give your feedback on the price and specs.

429.99 plus tax = 473 or so after tax

15.6 inch screen
2.1 gb triple core
4 gb ram
640 gb hd
Ati radeon 4250 graphics card
And the battery lasts up to 3.5 hrs ( got 3 hours and 12 minutes on balanced tonite)
And the model is acer aspire 5552-5686
Oh and it has windows 7 home and my old laptop had vista

So i was wondering if i should of waited for the old laptop with the lines on the screen to die before i bought this acer laptop or since i had the extra cash that it was ok that i bought this new laptop???

Also have u had issues with acer laptops since my old one was hp??

Thanks and sorry for the wall of text lol

I've personally owned several Acer products to great success other than I've had bad experiences with their customer support.

Honestly, the question you're asking is more of a personal question. You have to ask yourself if you would've rather saved up and gotten a more "top of the line" laptop or if you're satisfied with this one. That said, for what you got, that's a fairly decent price.

till you will improve to a extra smart motherboard and CPU, then i could basically flow with the hot one. the reason for this could be that there might desire to o.k. be different subjects that would desire to value extra funds to repair, or there might desire to be different subjects arise quickly after the restoration. extra smart to purchase the hot one and function the guaranty. inspite of the shown fact which you will make this an possibility to enhance your computer to a much extra smart and swifter gadget. you could make it precisely the way you could like it. yet the two way, you will could spend some earnings this undertaking you have. good success to you.
