right.
so yeah,
i got an acer aspire E-15 quad core Pentium laptop on may 22 and it came with windows 8....so,
i installed steam,
sony vegas and fl studio as well as some plugins....it was all well and good!
until i recently upgraded to windows 10 about 3 or so months back....i started getting a BSOD about every single day about 4 to 6 times per day....don't even ask about the error codes,
as i've gotten tons of them....ranging from IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, to KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED to WATCHDOG_VIOLATION to KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE and about 10 more....there's been around 10 different error codes and most likely more....i've reinstalled windows 10 2 or 3 times,
i've tried installing windows 8 and 7 but i couldnt....i've wiped my hard drive twice and i've screwed around with drivers to no avail....this is making me a bit pissed and it's been NONSTOP!!!!
maybe i'm just using the wrong laptop fir the job as i'm doing electronic music on a day-to-day-basis?
i don't know but i'm trying to get an i7 laptop as i don't think quad core is right for me....but for now,
this laptop is unusable and i can't take it!!!!
not sure if this is important,
but upon a new blue screen,
i get a stutter loop until it restarts....example: hi i just got a new laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa(your computer has run into a problem and needs to restart)....please help!?!?

This does sound like a conflict.

I would first do a windows update, then update adobe flash.

Then I would update your audio & video codecs since those programs use whatever your computer comes equipped with, which is very limited.

You can download this codec pack

Grab the free one here

http://www.codecguide.com/

Then I'd customize some of your default settings as well so these programs can use the maximum resources.

.

VIRTUAL MEMORY SETTINGS

The default settings could be changed for "best performance."

You would do 2 things.

A. Change the virtual memory default settings to "Best Performance."

B. Customize the default settings in the "Performance Options" & manually reset them.

A.

In Control Panel, type in "System" then select it.

On the left, select, "advanced system settings."

In the Advanced tab, under "Performance" select "settings."

Change it to "Adjust for best performance."

Don't close this yet.

B.

Go to the advanced tab here in the Performance Options. Keep this open & go to your web browser to do a search, go to youtube.

Now type in the search "how to change my virtual memory settings in Windows 8" (or whatever version you have) & follow along to change the default settings to custom. When I did this, it helped a LOT.

This will change your computer's settings so SV can use all resources when you render. Also, do NOT do ANYthing else whilst the render is going, don't browse the internet (close the browser all together) & don't have any other programs open. Just hit render & walk away from the computer during the render or just sit patiently & wait for it to finish.

Restart your computer after doing all the updates & downloaded the codec pack.

I'd also go in to your temp folders to delete everything inside them.

If you get the BSOD again, then I'd make a brand new system restore point, then start deleting the drivers & allowing your computer to have to automatically search to replace them with ones that work. I would delete the plugins too, I has some terrible issues when I downloaded some. Also go to the control panel in the "uninstall programs" area just to take a look at what programs you have installed, that might have automatically installed with some plugin or software you weren't even aware was on your computer. This can also cause some major issues. If you can it's probably worthwhile getting the "Revo Uninstaller Pro" at some point too. When you delete software, it still leaves behind lots of files & stuff in the registry & this software gets everything that the control panel uninstall does not.

I also found this. Going through all of the Windows updates seems to be a really big thing to do.

If you find that something did work to remedy thee issue above or elsewhere, you might come back in here & add details to your question to mention what worked, so if someone else has the same issue they can find a quick fix much faster.

I hope this helps.

EVERY ONE of those bug check codes that you do remember point to a faulty driver.

I doubt you are equipped with debugging software for your machine and I won't make you waste time setting it up and learning. This shouldn't happen, Microsoft's fault for allowing your upgrade through incompatible drivers.

One of your drivers is causing your system a load of bad crap because it is incompatible with Windows 10. I would start with the graphics driver. One by one, update all your drivers until the problem disappears.

If that doesn't work, or if the (graphics) driver is at the latest version, you must revert back to Windows 8 until a compatible version is released. However, that is actually impossible because past one month you may not do the normal revert (Windows.old is destroyed), and if you had no backups you can't use those, because they don't exist.

Try these two tests check the hard drive it may have bad sectors.

But the most common is a ram chip gone bad look at the fan on the power supply and the CPU and the graphic board are they all turning?

I had repeated shut downs and finally noticed the fan on the graphics board wasn't turning ah problem solved but check those things especially if you reinstalled windows and its still happening
