Hi Joey ,

My name is Harish and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. Inspiron 1521 and 1520 both use SigmaTel® STAC9205 sound card . You could download Windows XP ( 32 bit ) Driver from the following link.

ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/Browse_For_Drivers/Laptops/Inspiron/Inspiron%201520/Audio/Driver/Windows%20XP/2007-09-03%20-%20R160671.EXE

You could also use the link suggested by Rashi and Select the system model as Inspiron 1520 and download the respective driver.

Hope this was helpful.

Regards,

Dell-Harish K

you have to download realtek audio codecs because your running a downgraded

takes a while to download so save the file
