Overall, which laptop is the better buy?
And how are the Sony Vaio laptops, if you have any experience with them?

I'm considering buying one but I'm not so sure if they're any good.
This will be my first laptop and I don't want a laptop that will break every few weeks.

Thank you.

Indeed. You. Are. A. Girl.

Pink laptops hahaha! I thought girls are more into the contemporary minimalist look now but i guess there are still some out there who like glamorous things.

But! i totally understand. Everyone has their own style. =) now lets get down to business shall we?

Well you got the two pink laptops, i'm sure you like how they both look. It is definitely time to consider which one will last you the longest and will give you the most performance.

As you would expect. I would recommend the one from best buy. It runs on a more powerful (and updated) core 2 duo processor running at 2.1ghz as opposed to the pentium. This is a definite plus. Also! You will get 4 gigabytes of ddr2 ram as opposed to the other 3 making handling programs and applications with greater ease and speed. Also the VGN CS is almost one pound lighter making it more manageable. Hope this helps!

Depends on what you want to use your laptop for & what you want to spend. School, gaming, movies?? Some of the most important things to consider are RAM memory. Look for a minimum of 2GB & the more the better. Most average laptops have 4GB right now. The processor is also inportant. The Intel ProCore duo is a decent one. Also hard drive space. I wouldn't consider anything less than 250GB & again, more is better.

I owned an older Vaio notebook & had no problems. I own 2 Vaio desktops that I have had about 6 years or more & had one motherboard go out while still in warrenty. Otherwise good until recently when I lost a hard drive (But I work my computers hard!)

I am looking at Vaio laptops for my son for college right now.

Note added: 2nd one is better Check out the sonystyle site. If you are a student you may get a discount. Also B&H photo is very reputable, they have laptops also.

The second one is the better but they both have room to expand the RAM if you need to in the future.I would think that they're a pretty good laptop but I've never had one so good luck
