If you have tried all the alternatives and you dont want to reformat then I would suggest running a system fix. You boot off of the windows disc and instead of reformatting you have windows rewrite its core files and drivers. You wont lose any current software. Anther thought would be to download the latest usb drivers from the manufacture. Good luck.

Check your Device Manager to see if your USB drivers are showing. You can open Device Manager by double-clicking on the System icon in Control Panel, choosing the Hardware tab, and clicking Device Manager. If there are Yellow caution signs then there's something wrong. They might be shot, and a re-install would do nothing.

Consider buying a PCMCIA USB card if you wish to keep the laptop. That or you can send it in to Toshiba.

suitable SD and micro SD ought to all artwork positive (offering you have the mSD adapter). inspite of the shown fact that some card readers are somewhat fussy with SDHCs, i've got had a minimum of two circumstances whilst the computing gadget in simple terms did no longer know an SDHC card, to my extensive inflammation.

The drivers are not installed. Reinstall them with drivers should do it.
