why do people hate apple products?

I have an iPhone and a mac, but everyone seems to hate me because of it. I like apple products, and don't care if people don't have apple products, but why does everyone else make it such a big deal?

The hate around Apple is just a hype. Apple has it's strengths, but most people are too "ignorant" to look them up. Also Apple is quite pricy so they assume you're just a "dumb rich sheep". Don't let it bring you down. I own multiple Apple products and Android/Windows products and by far both my Macbook and Iphone have a MUCH longer lifespan than any other product.

I've heard something from my sibling, who's got a degree in games programming and works for a major tech company about it not being 'open source' programming and making people pay for stuff they normally don't have to pay for while they were talking about why I should never get another apple product.

I've heard the thing about them breaking easily and have an apple iPod myself. It's lasted about two years and doesn't look like its breaking in the next couple months, but does occasionally freeze up and apps do crash commonly, but I have had to replace the charger at least 4 times, possibly 5 soon. On the same hand, I also have a second-hand Samsung galaxy s5 and it works pretty well.

It was given to me after my sibling had it for a few years and its only issues are a faulty camera and broken charger port, for a while the screen would glitch a bit but it stopped after a week or two of doing it. Both products have back cases and glass covers, probably the reason the iPod still works.The Samsung is just easier to work with in general and does more for cheaper.

The products of apple company are the most selling products all around the world and it is obvious that the competitors will not like the apple products and another reason for hating apple products is its price. People who do not have used apple products hate them, because they are expensive.



When it comes to products it is not possible to satisfy everyone.

Many NOT ALL people that hate Apple do not understand the tech industry and only go off numbers. What has the biggest number must be the best which is not always true.

In my opinion, Apple products are Okay. Not great. But that's mainly just me. Being someone who likes advanced stuff and having a lot of control over devices and using computers in general, find the simplicity and restriction of Apple products (Mainly the mobile ones) extremely underwhelming. With other devices, you have full access to everything. You can dick around in files, download outside applications and music, etc, But apple likes to keep that all locked away. Not necessarily a bad thing though, obviously it protects you from viruses and malware, but again, being someone who knows how to responsibly use computers, doesn't need that. I do own an iPhone myself, and yes, it works good. I quickly learned how to use it and navigate through everything because of the User-friendliness of it, but again, I can usually figure out how technology works quite quickly anyways.

I own an ipod for my music cos I looked into it and for the memory I needed it was the best on market. However I hate the 'do you not have an iphone/pad/whatever??' who think it is the best simply because of the name Apple. For other items I have researched them and found equivalent/better at a cheaper price which I absolutely love! I dont care if you have apple products but dont expect me to have them and then mock me when I dont! (i realise this is prob a minority on both sides!!)

I don't anyway, it is pricy and not for most people but there is some strength to Apple though I would think most people would not agree with my view. IMO pick up Microsoft Surface or Google Nexus and you'll know.



Look at current Surface Studio versus the what the !@#$ MacBook TouchBar non-sense and the "artist's computer" argument is pretty much out the window.

Im an android user who doesnt hate apple i just say i do to annoy my friends i think they make amazing products but they do have a few things they should change such as being able to access your files and download apk files.

Not anyone does. In fact I would say that most people own Apple. I don't think they hate it , they just prefer Windows or android because they like it better. For example , It's like you buy a PlayStation but you don't hate Xbox. You just like PlayStation better.

because the company claims to a pioneer , when it's sole contribution to humanity has been a phone



then they added a camera ... then for the next 5 years after that , they kept making it slimmer etc etc ( not exactly a thomas edison calibre )



they also keep changing charging ports, software etc etc meaning all old phones become obsolete .. ie: to make more money
