So i'm having this laptop with this configuration and i am wonderig if someone got better results in gaming and multitasking activities, with 16 gb rather than 8 gb ram,
I saw in cpu-z and task manager that this laptop uses no more than 3 gb ram ( in gaming: like far cry 3 for example) -->>let's say maximum no more than 4 gb ram. so it remains 4 gb ram free, unused.
I've thought i will gain more speed with 16 gb ram 1600 mhz than 8 gb 1600 mhz ,but as we can see, 8 gb is still too much, ennough memory ram. ( i use x 64 windows 7)
so,the big question here is only for the owners of this laptop who upgraded and saw any differences :
does it worth upgrading the ram? (even if you don;t use so much memory ram?)
this is my configuration:((Inspiron 15R - 7520 Laptop Label 90W AC Adapter 8X Tray Load CD/DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive) LCD Cover Label Processor: Intel Core 3rd Generation i7-3612QM Processor (2.1GHz,6M Cache, up to 3.10GHz) Software Service Software Software WLAN Daughterboard DataSafe Online Backup Software Aluminium Service Software Documentation Shipping Material Intel Centrino Wireless 2230, 2x2 bgn + Bluetooth 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz (2 DIMMs) Wave Systems Software 750 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) 64BIT Operating System Dell Chiclet Keyboard with Multi-touch Touchpad, English-Int'l Label Information Software No OS Media AMD Radeon HD 7730M 2GB Microsoft Office Starter – reduced functionality Word & Excel w/ads & no PowerPoint or Outlook Service Software Software 15.6 Full High Definition (1080p) LED Display Placemat 125V Power Cord 64BIT Operating System Processor Label Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium Label Label 6 Cell Lithium-Ion Primary Battery ))
ps. the processor supports maximum 16 gb ram,so i don;t want answers related about the incompabilities. Many individuals upgraded their laptops to 16 gb but i did not caught their rewiews. i hope their reviews will be written here,
