The current 11" Macbook Air, with its Intel Core 2 Duo at 1.4 GHz, seems a tad outdated. Any idea when the next product release will be? I am looking to purchase within the next few months.

Don't Worry, Apple just released new Macbook Air's in October 2010. They are brand new, and they are the newest Apple computer on the market right now.

Whichever computer you buy, I hope you enjoy it!

I don't know where you got Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4Ghz as the latest. There's a 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo out there, it's probably the 13 inch one (some guy on the internet was raving about it and it posted this 2 days ago). If not the 1.8ghz is the latest on the Apple website, unless you can customize it o_O
I literally laughed while looking up Macbook Air. Only rich spoilt people who think they are cool would buy something like a Macbook Air. If you're a designer or movie editor I can understand in getting atleast a Macbook Pro, but come on... LOL
It's has that kind of processor for a reason, if you have ever seen it's size. The smaller a laptop, the smaller the components. The only thing impressive on it, is it's graphics card. Man.. the things people buy for a useless status...
I love all these articles and adverts saying things like "WITH AN AMAZING INTEL CORE 2 DUO PROCESSOR" hahahaha it really appeals to people who don't know computers. The new Macbook Air's didn't even get atleast i3 LOL. When they get i3 it might be worth it.

that certainly occurred to me once I have been given my aluminium macbook. They got here up with the 13" mbp like a month later! yet they re-embersed me over $3 hundred so it became ok. the recent line-up is barely anticipated to have minor spec bumps and which would be launched earlier the holiday journeys. An overhaul is anticipated in the previous due spring of the whole MBP family members.

I think they just released the new Macbook Air... and that is it. If you want performance, the Macbook Air is the wrong choice.
