Acer Aspire or Compaq Presario?

Question

I am looking for a new laptop and based upon what I want, I have narrowed it down to two choices: an acer aspire and a compaq presario.

Both are core 2 duo laptops, but the aspire has a better video card and a bigger hard drive. The presario on the other hand is a bit thinner and lighter, with an elegant black finish. It definitely looks better than the aspire.

Since I have never used or owned any of these brands, I would like to ask for advice on which is the better one in terms of *reliability* and *after-sales support*. I have done my homework but there seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about this topic. Some say aspire is better, some say presario is better.

I would really appreciate advice from people who have previously owned an aspire or presario in addition to another brand of laptop.

Both laptops are good, i have both brands in my posession, the thing to remember is to DELETE all the Factory BRANDED-Software, cuz it sux, you better install software of your own, u don´t need to stay with those useless piece of s...oftware



PS. Check the ventilation system in both laptops, some acer notebooks get Horribly HOT because it lacks of air entrances.

HP Compaq SUCKS i kno this from experience ive also got an aspire 5670 WLMi its a pretty good machine and it looks good as well its not too sleek and fancy but its ok if u ask me go with a macine that will give u performance rather than one wich looks good but will give u trouble half the time (my bro's laptop is an hp and hes only had it for 6 months yet he reformatted it like 3 times already so most problably the same thing will happen with a compaq cause theyre actually 1 company) dont expect much software if u get the aspire, tho all i got was Norton antivirus, an NTI disc burning program, and that was all.

The Acer is unquestionably supplying you with extra on your cash. i could go with that over the Compaq any day. the only reason Acer had "a undesirable rep" became by way of only undesirable series of computers they had lower back interior the mid ninety's. they have been generating good machines interior the united kingdom for years.

Acer have better after sales support other than that you r on your own.choose which feature suit you.
