I am looking to buy a laptop...I wanted the new Apple Mac Book...but my father is on the cheap side and doesn't want to get it for me for a bunch of reasons that I will not list as it would take me awhile...So he gave me his spending limit...800$$..yes I know not that much money..so my question to you all is with my new price range which laptop would be the best choice for me...I have a lot of music over 3000 songs (I am kinda addicted to music lol) and a take bunches of pictures...I just graduated from high school and I am looking to start my own business in a couple of years and I am hoping the laptop I get can accommodate me in my endeavors but if it cant that's totally fine...and I also love a good game...like sims or something along those lines..I want a computer that will not only last me in the years to come but will not be like molasses in th winter in a few years time...with that in mind is there any computer that can accomplish what I what to do with it??...or am I just crazy and should rethink what kinda computer I need and want??
Ok...Thanks luvz :)

I would recommend

Sony VGN-FW Series

(e.g. SONY VGN-FW140E/W or SONY VAIO VGN-FW270J/H)

+ Very stylish

+ The Sony VGN-FW laptops all have good sound-quality for your music.

+ Great display (your photos will look crispy), also really big (16.4" !!!)

+ Bluray (definitely investment for the future)

+ Really good keyboard

+ All models will be good enough for playing games like SIMS 3.

Price: (bad news) it will cost you at least 900$ to get a new model

Alternative:

HP Pavilion DV5 Series

(e.g. HP Pavilion dv5-1250us)

+ The Sound Quality is also good.

+ The Display is good (although not as good as the VGN-FW & smaller display 15.4")

- No Bluray (only DVD)

+ Keyboard is good

+ Also all models should be able to play SIMS 3.

Price: 700$ absolutely in your budget! (shopping.hp.com)

My Advice: the extra 100$ for the Sony are well invested, but if your limit is exactly 800 the HP is a good laptop!

Look around for a good one. They are not too expensive at all now.Best buy has some good ones. Check consumer reports also.
