I got an HP Pavilion laptop....it was cheap ($755 with tax at best buy), and so far nothing has gone wrong with it, other than my web camera is stubborn and won't turn off.....The keys are really comfy, the mouse pad is amazing :), and the computer is really fast and works for all of my college needs =]

I have my doubts about emachines desktop, i compared years ago and are slower than similar machines, and expensive to upgrade.

you must place your actual and future necessities then visit computers stores or warehouse websites, and see your if your pocket (money) will pay.
