Question:
Which is better...net book or laptop?

Im a business major at a community college. I had a laptop, but Ive had to replace the hard drive 3 times. So Im not going to put any more money into it.

I was looking at different Acer netbooks and I like those. But now Im thinking about getting an Acer laptop.

Any suggestions?

It really depends. Netbooks are good for portability because they are light and small, but they aren't made very well so they won't last long, and they're not really any good for more than light browsing and office suite tasks - no 3d gaming or video editing.

You might want to look at something like a 13" notebook. This isn't quite big enough to be called a standard size laptop, but it's quite portable and is just as powerful as full size laptops. These are quite expensive though.

If you're looking for a netbook, I suggest you wait until later this year when Google Chrome OS comes out on some acer netbooks. It looks like it's going to be a great Operating System.

Netbooks are good as a secondary computer. They're very low-performance so they can only really handle basic stuff. Netbooks also don't have a CD/DVD drive. Netbooks are small, so they're very portable, but they're cumbersome to use because the screen and keyboard are so small.

If you want to do real work on your computer, as it seems is the case, you should forego the netbook and just get a full-size laptop instead.
