In my view, Lenovo and Dell laptops are much better than others. Hp laptops have better performance but lose it with time. Dell and Lenovo are good with laptops temperature tolerance but bad with battery performance. I love the hp laptop that is great in my opinion take a look at it...

It all depends on what components they have in them (which varies model to model). I would recommend HP only because I strongly dislike Dell and Toshiba. While you may get a better deal on a Dell, it's quality is not always on par.

I like HP, but that is only because I've only ever owned HP computers. From what I've seen, they tend to offer the best value, but it is really a decision you have to make. It comes down to personal preference, as none of the brands listed would be a bad idea.

Hi Mazzy,

You will get different view from different people.

I am telling you what I feel.

I worked on

Dell Inspiron for 3 years.

Toshiba for around 4 years (in office) and latest is HP Pavillion.

All were core i5.

My experience is never go for Dell. The problem I faced was that it makes lots of fan sound and gets heated very fast, because it has fan at the bottom. It is heavy as well.

Toshiba is good. Never had this problem.

Now for my personal things I just bought HP Pavillion Windows 8, 500GB and 4GB RAM. I liked it no sound , no heating.

Acer I think is also good. But my vote goes to HP

I hated my Acer Aspire so I would recommend an HP. But it all depends on what you plan on doing most with it .

For me, you should check reviews first and the specs must be the center of your attention. Brands are just brands, though there are tough brands. I know for a fact that there are brands that deliver well than others but importantly specs must be taken into consideration. No matter what brand that laptop is if the spec is low, it's still low. Try checking on http://www.topg4u.com/ for specs.

this is all opinion. Go to newegg.com and ask them. they rock. But for what it's worth, they set me up with an HP
