which laptop should i get?

i either want a mac or a pc
but i have no idea which one is better

i really am just gonna use it for
pictures and my ipod music
other then that i dont really want any downloaded stuff on it
so which one should i get
or do you recommend any other ones?

I have used MAC in school to do a/v editing but I have always been a PC kind of person mainly because there are more widely available upgrades for a lower price. They are both good operating systems/ computers but its more of a personal opinion thing.
