Try finding out how much Ram you have and add it if you need to. The most common way to check is to hold down CTRL+SHIFT+ESC at the same time to pull up windows task manager. From there you could check how many applications are running and if there is a program that needs to be shut down. Also you could check to see on the processes tab if there is anything using up too much memory. You could tell this by the CPU collumn or by reading the number at the bottom. The closer it is to 100 then you need more memory.

you are more then likely loaded with malware. get a free program such as Asquared or spybot. install and run them to remove the malware. As an IT professional, I have seen computers infected so bad, you couldn't even open IE because it took so long. In that case, try hitting f8 while booting up and go into safe mode to run the programs

If you have wireless Internet like me, you have to keep your Internet connection strict. When you search for a wireless router, make sure you only select one, and not a whole bunch. This happened to me when my router got unplugged, and I automatically connected to the next Internet connection from the neighbors because It was on my preferred networks list . I just deleted the neighbors connection (Not really, but I deleted my automatic connection to them). And the problem was solved.

First of all you can go to start>run then type in %temp% and delete the temp files found there

then go to start>run>prefetch and delete any files there also

Then do a disk clean up, and defrag your computer
