I am gonna buy a new laptop, but i dunno which one to buy. I want one with really good video editing software because i make youtube videos, one with lots of memory for all of my music and my photos. I was thinking of getting the new Macbook, what are you thoughts ? give me some good suggestions for laptops ...

Well, since you already know what you need specifically, its better to find it yourself, because you already know what you exactly need.

If I were you, I`d buy dell laptop with,

Core2Duo X9300 Intel 2.5GHz < CPU

4 GB DDR3 < RAM

GeForce Video Card with 1 GB memory

the best laptop screen.

350 GB < HDD

this would cost you less than 2000$

I already have these for 1400$ but my video card is Intel with 256 memory, and my screen is just not the best, nor the original one.

yeah i know exactly how you feel, i too have just bought myself a new laptop after traveling from store to store and bothering the employees with questions. anyway...

i got myself a Acer aspire 5930 and i must say it is one of the greatest machines i have held before. i has 4 GB ram, an Intel core duo processor, 320 GB HDD hard drive, a very good web cam built in, a DVD/BlueRay reader, 3Mb L2 cache, and a good connection to the internet with Wi-Fi, the laptop came with an anti virus, office 2007 and vista. not only that but the screen is HD quality it has very good speakers, and it has a finger print scanner so only you can access it and nobody else.the graphics card is a geforce 9600 gt which in my case is good for a laptop. the laptop is made to be a home theatre also. so my answer is to get this unique piece of hardware or a Asus since they are one of the best laptops out there. i hope i answered your question.

Just so you are fully aware, to run the SIMS on a MacBook, you need to install a legal and full (not an upgrade) version of Windows XP Home (<> $300) at least, using OS X's free BootCamp OR Virtual Box (Google for it).

If you're OK with that, the new "Hard Aluminum" Macbooks are awesome!

A decent Macbook would be a good choice, but you need to go for a mid or upper range model.

On the Windows PC side, a Dell Studio 15 Dual core laptop with dedicated graphics should suffice.

I used to have a "normal" windows PC, but it always crashed, failed, updates were missed, gremlins and viruses appeared.

And then I moved to Apple Macs and am a very happy bunny.

Worth paying a little bit more for quality. Editing tools are really easy to use but good.
