Okay, Apple is a Brand its almost 100% that you can never guess what they are planning. BUT Based on some evidence and knowledge you can figure out what will happen. The iPods just got updated on 09-09-09.

The iMac, Mac Pro, and Mac Mini are really unknown but speculations say in October Apple will hold another even to release either a Tablet or to do a refresh to its computer line. Now for the MacBook Pros,MacBook, and MacBook Air they were refreshed in June along with the iPhone. So that seems unlikely that they will change it sometime during the next 6 months. Now the iMac I believe will be redesigned next month because its been a couple of years with the same design and same technology. Its good to follow this website. Its got a good amount of sources and good evidence. Usually they get updates every 6-12 months. So its almost a guarantee one of their computers will be refreshed or a new product will be released. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. Good Luck.

PS: MaskedMusketeer I don't believe they will have Mobile i7 processors inside of the MacBook Pros if they haven't put the standard i7's in its desktops. Desktops need a selling point so they would put i7 in them first. Especially in the Mac Pro and iMac.

PS: Blix come down to earth. They released HARDWARE Updates on iPods and SOFTWARE Updates for all of its products already. The iPods were on 9-9-09. OS X Snow Leopard on August 27-28. and iPhone 3.1 9-9-09. Cant you READ "WHEN ARE THE APPLE COMPUTERS GOING TO GET A HARDWARE UPGRADE" .

You were talking about software update for Ipod not the hardware which is a device that you're holding in your hand. For the Macs computer(hardware) if you want to upgrade it you go to a store and get a new one. For the Mac OS softwares update it's free, you simply go to the Apple icon( top left corner of your screen) then select 'Software Update) but normally it automatically update everything for you.

lots of different human beings have responded your question straight away yet i could prefer to function something else in defence of Mac expenditures. Macs are commonly very heavily matched in fee for what you will be able to desire to construct an equivalent laptop for. the hassle is, Macs are over-specced. the backside fee Mac you ought to purchase is a much extra useful laptop than the backside fee Dell or comparable sort call laptop you ought to purchase besides the shown fact that it additionally expenses extra. The Mac might have a extra useful photographs card, a extra useful difficult tension, a extra useful CD tension, it is going to in all probability have DVD burner and the opposition won't, etc. nevertheless, you in all probability do not want the extra useful photographs card or the DVD burner... and that makes the Mac over-specced and subsequently over-priced. this is rather a question of semantics. Macs at the instant are not over-priced for what they are yet they are commonly extra desirable than what the regular person needs.
