I have a Toshiba A305-S6872. In February I spilled soda on it. I cleaned the affected spot pretty well and my computer worked completely fine after that. Now it's June, and my keyboard is acting up. The weird thing is, it's not even the spot where I spilled soda. I spilled over the keys from the left side all the way to the F and back toward the left...and now some of my keys are acting up. When I press 0, it enters a space directly after. When I hit "r," it types a 4 along with it. "r4." and same with "y". "y6" and when I press 5, a firefox message pops up asking if I want to turn on Caret browsing 'cause I apparently hit F7 when i hit 5. I don't know if this is a hardware issue or if my keyboard needs to be cleaned...can anyone give me any advice?

By a cheap usb keyboard and plug it in, at least you will be able to type normally and if you have contents insurance in your home ask them about accidental damage.

Don't tell them it happened months ago but, they might try and say wear and tear

If the soda got onto the circutry underneath the keys this would be the problem as it will short out the connections to the laptop.

Best idea I think is just get a second hand one off Ebay, there about £20 $30 and really simple to change.

call Toshiba and ask them. in case you have guarantee, and it continues to be good, then they are able to repair it for unfastened. you will could desire to deliver it to them. I in basic terms had a controversy and alter into thankfully, nonetheless under guarantee so have been given my complicated tension replaced for unfastened.
