It's just overheating, every coumputer does that. It depends on the level of heating as to what you have to do. If it's just really really hot you could get a lap-board like I have. They work really well because its just a board with cushioning under it that you put your laptop on. It works really well actualy. However, if your coumputer is super overheating, as in smoke or any other thing along those lines, you will want to take it into a tec repair place wear they could clear out dust among other things. Hope this helps!

Try buying compressed air (in a can) and spraying it into the vents on your computer, to clean dust from the cooling system. Some computers just run very hot normally, like my HP dv7, in this case nothing is wrong, but it is probably a good idea to buy a laptop pad (with or without fans) for your lap, to prevent burning yourself and overheating the computer.

when working with apple, anytime a computer is burning you or you are smelling smoke then you need to not use it and contact the manufacturer as something is burning and it is causing danger to you and possibly anyone around you

its overheating, either clean the fan and vents yourself (if you know what you are doing) or take it to a tech store
