Ive heard to speed up ur pc you should clear your cache like the browsing history and cookies. But i want to keep the websites ive saved as favourites. Will this delete them? When i go into tools, then delete browsing history, there is a option that saids 'preserve favourites website data'. Do i delete this aswell? Or is this the file which has saved all my favourite websites?? please help

The only way to delete favorites is to manually delete them. When you clear the cache and website history it just means your favorites will be included. So like settings for that website will return to default and you'll log out of that favorite. But you'll still be able to find the URL in the saved favorites and go to the website.

Cache memory save your visited website history and this is the temporary folder and will not delete you favorites as it is done manually by the user.

Delete your History, it wont delete your favourites. Then go to all Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disc Clean / and finally Disc Defragment. Delete any programmes not being used and also disable all Start up programmes except your Security.Check here to see if you can upgrade your RAM http://www.crucial.com

Favorites are stored in a separate folder than cache.

The fact that you have "Favorites" and not "Bookmarks" is telling though. You may want to try a better browser than IE (any other browser is better than IE)

No you can't delete favorites when you delete browsing history, cookies, cache, etc. favorites has it own deleting program.
