My tab key stopped working...?

Hey people recently my tab key on my keyboard stopped working, it works when using a combo like alt+tab or shift+tab. But it wont work on its own when switching fields in forms or just anything around windows.
I have tried restarting the PC but that wont work. Its a fairly new vista machine. Any ideas on how to get it back? Or how i may have disabled it somehow?

Sounds like something foreign is preventing a good contact.



Unscrew the back of the keyboard, look inside and check for crushed potato chips, sticky coke or fossilised coffee (or even a dead cockie). Wipe over with a clean alcohol-soaked cloth and replace.
