I used to be a PC owner, and never understood why anyone would like Mac more... I've had my MacBook for about a year and a half and I am a full blown mac lover now.

Being that you use it for web and music, mac would prob be best for you, just because it doesn't really get any viruses. Every computer I have ever had got so many viruses, even with protection. Mac book, not so!

If you have the money, i would go for the MacBook PRO though.. Or wait until the new Mac Book comes out, (they are making one with the aluminum casing instead of plastic).

id personally go for a pc but there a lot of people who think mac-books are better and i do agree but i just like the layout of PCs.you will hear this a lot" mac's don't get viruses" this is true but the Only reason is they don't is because all the major businesses use PCs so people don't bother making them beacuase they wont do half as much damage as they would if they made a virus for pc.

i would recommend you get mac-book if you have the money, but pcs are still a great option.

also macbooks look pretty cool though:P

I don't even undertsand why you need a laptop at all? For your needs, any computer will do.

YOu will spend a huge premium for a MacBook. A 2GHz C2D, with 2 GB of RAM and 120GB of RAM, but still using the X3100 graphics set will cost about $1,500, especially if you get Applecare. That's a not-insubstantial price difference over a PC laptop like a Lenovo Thinkpad with a 2.26GHz Core2, 2GB of RAM and X4500MHD for about $1,000.

I got a macbook pro in January after being a Windows user all my life and I have to say, it was the best choice i've ever made.

I don't have to wait forever for it to turn on, I don't have a million strange applications loading up when I turn it on, I don't get a ton of un-needed software built in to it and instead get software that's very useful to me, it's very fast, don't have to worry about viruses or buying more software either.

And as the classic Mac saying goes, "It just works." which I agree with wholeheartedly.

I love my mac and will never go back :P

If you just use it for the internet and for music, get a windows computer.

You will get a bigger hard drive and a faster computer.

I have used Mac OS X before, and I don't see what's so special about them. The Dock just slows you down, and it's all too graphical. Also, there is a lack of software support, and Macs do crash, as much as windows computers.

Also, there is no viruses for them because there aren't that many users, why should hackers waste there time?

Stick to what you need.

MAC is a very nice computer, but if you think you will regret buying an expensive computer when you can buy a cheaper one with the same specs, go for the cheaper one.

I always go for HP, its durable and dependable...
