i installed a windows xp then i install some softwares like the adobe flash player, shockwave, an antivirus and some MS office. then i installed the drivers for the said laptop. Everytime i install a driver and restart [as a requirement for installation], the loading of windows xp and the startup is taking me more than a minute before i could use the laptop. and the sound gets lag everytime i play a music or play a game.

i already remove some programs that will run on startup and i tweaked the registry to make the laptop run smooth but still i'm having the same problems.

what do you think is the problem on my laptop? was it the drivers? or there's an issue with the hardware?

I think there's something wrong with your other first installation.

xp taking more than a minute to startup is normal, so don't worry about that ;).

however your sound problems are definately caused by bad drivers, i recommend googleing ""the name of your driver" problem" and checking what comes up.

use google for this, since you might want to get useful results.

If it only takes 60 seconds to boot, think yourself lucky. That's quite fast!

My guess is that the 'tweaking' of the registry is what's causing your problems. If you're not certain of what you're doing, leave the registry alone!

It's not fast enough to keep up. This is definitely a problem with the hardware being too slow. Good luck and best answer!

lots of the drivers you want will be put in once you placed in an OS! From what you wrote the following, all you probably did became format the rigidity, so for sure there'll be no drivers put in!
