Virtual PC, ram not enough message.?

HI i am having a laptop of compaq, with config 80 gb hard disk, 512 mb RAM and 1.83 ghz of processor speed.....i hav installed vista as the base OS. now i hav installed virtual pc in it..Through virtual pc i want use windows server 2003... but i culdnt use , b'coz its showing an error that 'windows NT has not found enough extended memory, 7mb of extended memory is required to run' .......So how can i override this prob? Is their any solution lik using my hard disk as ram for temporary or this ram is not enough at all....? As it is laptop its difficult to upgrade RAM....So pls help me.......!

Actually the real reason is you don't have enough RAM to perform other software because you did not meet the requirement of the specification of the hardware. Vista require 1GB RAM in the way you are now short for the memory capacity. Just upgrade your RAM to 2GB and also don't forget to read the hardware specification of the software before you install it.

vista requires 1 gigabyte of ram at least to boot up, 2 gigs to be stable, 3 if you wanna do anything with it. read the requirements for stuff before installing! either you go back to your previous operating system or you need to bring it in to a tech geek and have them upgrade your ram sticks, if you can through compatibility... don't upgrade your ram yourself.

First off it sounds like your running a lot of programs. When you install an OS you should first format the disk drives. If you did that already you might try going here. http://www.crucial.com/ you can try that link and it will scan your computer and tell you what upgrades you can make to improve performance.

You need more RAM if you want to run that in Virtual PC.
