I just got a used computer, the IBM think-pad laptop. It is in great condition and everything is in tact, but I am not sure what button turns the moniter on? It is plugged in and the battery level light is all green, but I can't quite find the "on" button. If anybody could tell me where it is or at least what it looks like, that would be great.

On the newer models it is a round silver button above the keyboard in the middle. Older ones might be different. it shlould be labelled with something that looks like a circle with a line in the middle of it. Google the model number and you should easily be able to find the operators manual for it online at the IBM website.

All right Sir,

Ive have a IBM thinkpad and the start-up button or gear should be at the Left side (the fairest side) Or if this does not work try to read the Manuel it should have that in there all right See You Later.

You press down Fn (bottom left) and the little black sound buttons (suitable left) many times. I have an identical concern yet its been because that my husband reinstalled residing house windows and were given rid of all the IBM help stuff - ARRRGGGHH!
