I bought a HDTV Freeview DVB-T Digital TV USB Card Tuner for Laptop and PC but i did not realize that my place is not yet covered by freeview. I installed the device and the software and i cannot get a single channel. Is there anyway i can watch TV using this device in my current place?

There is no way to receive Freeview if you area is not covered by Freeview, nor will it pick up analogue channels 1-5 as it is a DIGITAL receiver (as some answerers have suggested)

try to use a better tv ariel than the little one that you get with the tuner. i used that ariel at the start but when i tried a better ariel i was able to pick up all the channels.

Well... No. Except when you have a transmitter/decoder for digital TV, which is quite unlikely.
