I was thinking on buying the Sony Vaio FW with 1080p 1920x1080 resolution, a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 graphics card, an Intel 2 Duo Processor P8700 (2.53GHz), 4GB of RAM, a Blue Ray Player, and a 320 or 400 GB hard drive. Would this be good enough for gaming? I'm not much of a computer gamer, but plan on getting the Star Wars: the Old Republic game.

I was looking at those exact configurations for the FW I want to buy, and I want to use it for the new Old Republic game. Weird. Very good graphics card (DDR3 equipped I believe). It'll run most high-performance games 60 fps (not Crysis). Since 90% of gaming performance relies on you video card and since AMD is no longer considered the "gamer's CPU", the intel processors and video card on this laptop are absolutely phenomenal, especially for the price tag. Good gaming.

G'Day,

The specs you have there are perfect for a High-Performance gaming computer. I would never recommend a sony for that kind of a thing, but that is more than plenty to run even some of the extreme graphics games.

Good luck... Happy Gaming.

the only problem I can find with that comp is the processor,

if possible you would want an AMD processor because it is much better for gaming
