How do I format an ISO file Recover Disk to a USB Drive?

My Acer Aspire One 532h-2588 Netbook recently crashed and has been having issues booting up and always seem to stop at one of the drivers before rebooting. I've figured out the best solution, thusly, is to reinstall the drivers.

I've downloaded the Recovery Disk as an ISO file onto my computer and atm I'm trying to figure out how to format the file onto my USB so it will boot up on the Netbook. I attempted to use a program (UNETBootin, or something to that affect) to install it onto the USB (Lexar, 4G), I changed the priority in my BIOS settings, but all I get is a screen with UNETBootin, Select settings, TAB to edit, and a 10 second countdown that keeps restarting. This leads me to believe the program was either flawed or limited to certain computer programs.

Could someone please tell me how I can format the ISO file to the flash drive so it will properly reboot my netbook? For reference I am limited in internet accessibilty and I only have my old Dell Inspiron 2500 laptop to rely on to do all of this...

Some ISOs are only meant to be transferred to a disc using an ISO burner. However, as you don't have an optical drive then that's not an option. You may try transferring the ISO to a flash drive using this:

Select the unlisted ISO that you want to transfer and the drive. If that still didn't work, tell me by email what OS and edition you have on that machine and I'll help you fix it in some other way. I hope you can still read the product key written on the OEM sticker under the netbook. Also, if you don't have a backup of your data yet as you are going to lose them, prepare a bootable flash drive containing Hiren's BootCD. It's also listed in the program I mentioned above. It will allow you to load a Mini Windows XP so you can copy your files.

First the app suggested by Simply RED is rather restricive as to what it produces on a bootable flash drive.Although it will if I remember allow Hirens Bootcd or at least a certain version to be installed on it.

The same people have produced another prog that is much more versatile as to what it will create on a bootable flash drive. It is called Yumi and can be downloaded from

After that what ISO are you trying to load ???

Reading your question I think you may have a hardware fault so would suggest you prove you RAM as one suggestion.

Also as has been said have you tried your recovery software that will have come on your hard drive

This will be you operating system with all the drivers and software that came with your netbook when bought. You will not need your licence key,

Also as been said you will loose all your data you put on since getting the netbook so backup as has been suggested.

Entry to the recovery routine on acer is to hold down the ALT key while continuously depressing the F10 key while the Acer logo is being displayed.

Any questions ask on my email on here

You need to order the correct operating system recovery for your netbook from Acer to fix it.

Have you tried using the built in recovery, did you create the recovery disc set for the netbook using the built in program ? Use a external USB optical drive. Insert the USB flash drive open the ISO file right click the file click send to select the USB drive.

Have you tried pressing F8 repeatedly at start up black screen to enter start options ?

What you are trying to do and use the ISO wont work.

There are a couple of tools. I've used UNETBOOTIN and Universal-USB-Installer-1.8.9.2

Both take an image and put in on a USB stick that becomes bootable....
