Question:
when i put my headphones in laptop it says a jack has been plug-ed in but no sound?

i have turned all volumes up it plays through the laptop internal Speakers but nothing through my head phones any help

Try going into

start/control panel/change speaker settings/"click on advanced"/"click on speaker set up"/change to head phones

not saying it will work iv never used headphones on mine but gotta be worth a try

make sure your'e earphones are plugged into the green socket (not the pink one).



When the EARPHONE WINDOW comes on screen (and earphone plugged in shows up) click the OK box.



If a 2nd window shows up,...... click that Ok box as well.



Now,...... you should have sound through your earphones.



If you havent,........ go to the bottom right hand corner of your screen and you should see a small round bell symbol.



Click it, and then a VOLUME WINDOW should appear. When it does, see if there is a tiick inside the MUTE box.

If there is,....... click inside that MUTE box to cancel it, because that is blocking your sound output.



Give this a bit of a try out and see if it can return your sound.

do you mean a headset with a mic.

right click the speaker icon on the taskbar > adjust audio props > audio tab > advanced > test hardware

my laptop has 2 sockets if i plug it in the one it don't work have you try ed all the sockets and are you sure the headphones are working i cant think of any thing else
