My freinds and I plan on buying netbooks soon annd I'm not quite sure on what we're suppose to buy.
We're looking for a decent netbook that doesn't cost too much.
I saw the MSI wind u100 and it sort of about fits what we need and it doesn't cost too much.
Should we should buy it? if not why? What's its pros and cons?
Any suggestion of a better netbook? Has to have at about 10 inches screen.

Just checked a couple of reviews and the MSI wind u100 seems to be very good.

I have the Samsung NC10 which is excellent and I used to have an Aspire One which was also excellent, but it only had an 8.9"screen.

You can also get the Aspire one with a larger screen.

The Samsung and the Aspire are very easy to restore to factory settings if anything goes wrong, which is essential for me.

EDIT.

How can anyone call the netbook a fad, I wouldn`t be without one, for the sake of portability, and I believe they`re becoming more popular.

Mine runs just as well as my laptop, and I can`t put up with slowness, I would throw it through the Window, as I`ve sometimes felt like doing with friends` laptops that they`ve brought for me to fix.

i totally disagree with the negative netbook comments. i bought a Dell Latitude 2100 netbook in june 2009 and i use it everyday. i have my netbook hooked up to 32" flatscreen TV. i use my netbook just like i use my laptop. i do much of my microsoft office work on it. i use it to watch streaming movies on hulu, joost, veoh and youtube. i listen to pandora, di.fm and radiotime.com on my netbook. my netbook also came with a touchscreen that i use when i am out and about from home. i cannot tell a difference in using my netbook and laptop. i do need to note that i spent $40 and did a memory upgrade. that's a small price to pay.

i said all of that to say, there are plenty of netbooks on the market that will do what you need it to do. i checked out the MSI Wind-U100-061US netbook on amazon.com and it has the average specs of most netbooks. what makes it better than some of its competitors is the fact the keys are bigger and more responsive. the built-in camera and mic are a nice add. 120GB is quite generous for a hard drive in a netbook. bluetooth is a much needed feature in a netbook if you sync between your phone and computer a lot.

bottom line, the MSI Wind-U100-061US is the perfect option for your needs, but you do have to remember that it's not a laptop and can or cannot be treated as such. it all depends on your usage and if you know how to optimize your settings. good luck. btw, i included the amazon.com link so you can get a more indepth look at your potential MSI purchase.

It depends on what you want to use the netbook for. In my opinion, netbooks are not a good purchase. If you notice, there hasn't been a lot of discussion about them recently. As tablets have gained prominence, netbooks have fallen by the wayside. They were a fad, just like tablets could prove to be. We'll have to see. In any case, i would advise against a netbook.

I don't know anything about it but I would suggest looking at ASUS. They are high quality and not terribly expensive. I personally bought a Dell and regret it every time I use it, so don't let anyone talk you into a Dell.
