I contacted Dell and pointed out that what occured was a safety issue and no product should explode like this only after two years after use, possibly causing personal injury. After being passed around from one extension to another, all I got from them was "Sorry, your PC was not under warranty at the time... and nothing they can do".
Further contact through email resulted in them offering me $50 worth of gift certificate toward purchaing of Dell products...
I refused to take their offer. In their last email they took away their last offer....
Please let me know if there is any legal action I can take against Dell. No product should explode causing possible injury to users even if not under warranty. I explained this to Dell with no result. Thank you.
