Start the computer and get to the options of safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mod with command prompt and start windows normally. No matter what I chooses it starts and goes to the BSOD with "Technical Information: *** STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x86cf5250, 0xc000102, 0x00000000"

Ohh yes, the deadly blue screen of death. I have had quite a few run ins with this problem. It always seems to happen at the absolute worst time.

The Windows blue screen is due to errors in the Windows registry. What happens is the system has trouble communicating and senses something is terribly wrong. So in order to protect itself, it shows the blue screen and then reboots. In order to fix the problem you must fix the errors in the registry.

Blue screen errors, or blue screen of death (BSOD) errors, are the most severe errors Windows can encounter. Since Windows can not recover from this kernel level error, a blue screen is displayed with the error details. The error details contain a STOP error code, which indicates the type of error.

There are a lot of possible causes for blue screen errors, but most of them relate to the computer hardware. The cause of a BSOD error can be a temperature problem, a timing error, a resource conflict, hardware failure, a corrupt registry, a virus or simply a device incompatibility or driver error.

In reality, the most common cause of blue screen errors is a device driver problem. Outdated, incorrect or corrupt drivers can cause the system to encounter a STOP error, resulting in the BSOD.So the easiest way to try and fix a blue screen error is to reinstall and update your system’s device drivers. This will ensure that all driver bugs are fixed and that all hardware has the correct driver. http://best-way-to-improve-pc-performance.com Scan your computer for free now!

On the D630? Turn off the wireless on the side and disable bluetooth in the BIOS then try again. They had a ton of related issues with those two devices.

Two choices. Reformat, aka Windows disk.

Or buy a new laptop. They are only made to last about 3-4 years. Dells are made to last 2-3. You get what you pay for. When ever you buy a new laptop i suggest getting a Toshiba, Sony, or Apple.

Sounds like an operating system file was altered or deleted. You're going to have to reinstall or repair Windows through a repair disc.

One more boot up option to try:

Boot to Last Known Good Configuration. Sometimes this work... sometimes
