I have a macbook pro and I know it's possible - I'm just trying to figure out how. So does anyone know how to switch from a mac desktop to a windows on the macbook pro?

If you do, can you please explain it.

Thanks.

You can use Boot Camp. Boot camp comes with OS and the setup instructions are given in the links below:

Boot camp for lion

Bootcamp for Snow Leopard

If you want to run Windows and OS concurrently, you will need to use a vitalization software. The two most popular paid apps are Parallels and VM Ware Fusion. Both have their keen supporters. If your needs are basic, then I think both will work.

You can also download a free app called Virtual Box. This is open source. I am not sure how it performs.

On all the above (Boot Camp and Vituarlization) you will need to have a copy of the Windows OS (XP, Vista 7).

well 1st you have to install windows on your mac. to do this you must have the windows cd. then go to applications and go to utilities. then boot camp. from there just follow the steps. ok now heres the part how to switch form Mac os x to windows. restart you mac of if its off turn it back on. now right after you here the chime press the option (alt) key and press down on you mouse at the same time and leave them press. then three little pictures of hard drives will appear. there will be a Mac os x and windows and a disk recovery. click on the windows one and that will take you to windows. do the same to go back to Mac os x. if you need more help feel free to email me.
