Hi,
there's something wrong with my laptop. It turns off automatically and sometimes I can't even turn it on. Also, when I finally am able to turn it on, Avira anti virus says that it is unactivated, I tried to activate, but I am unable to. I have speed fan and I noticed that my computer's temperatures are rising really fast. What can I do I am not even able to run a virus scan, because my computer turns off really fast. I think I have a virus, but I am not sure of it. Thanks.

Sounds more like an overheating issue to me.

Make sure there is nothing blocking the fan ports. A quick sweep with the vacuum cleaner could help if they are dust-clogged. Remove the battery and run it off AC ONLY, as batteries become hot in operation. If this helps, perhaps a notebook cooler would be a wise investment:

If it is still under warranty (typically one year), try contacting the manufacturer and see what they suggest. If it isn't, get a screwdriver and carefully remove the case. Once again, remove dust etc with a vacuum cleaner (careful not to touch anything) and then replace the cover.

I think your cooling fans have gone out and that's why the laptop is overheating. You can usually get the parts on Ebay. I doubt it's a virus. Try lifting the laptop in the air and log on and see if it stays on longer.

See if it will boot in safe mode and try the virus scan

Take it to Best Buy, unless it's a Toshiba. I saw one in there with the blue screen of death. If it's a Toshiba avoid Best Buy.
