Question:
suggestions of laptop bags?

OK I go to a prep school where just about everyone (although its not required) has a laptop. I'm going to really need one this year becuase the sienor class has to do everything except math on a computer. The lap that I do have is acctually a family laptop its 14 in. so nice and compact. I'm also going to use this lap for college too.

I've looked at ebay a lot but I'm not too sure what I need and in some respects want. I need something that can stand a bike ride, books and papers, the laptop in all its glory, and the occational hike, (I'm majoring in environmental science so I might need to bring it out on the feild) I live in an oven now and I'm going to college in a freezer (not sure if that matters) yet I need something compact meaning thin, and it can't screem, "I have a laptop in here, please steal me!"

I'm inbetween a sling and a backpack. What do you suggest??

Backpack, quite in case you think of you would be doing a super style of trekking around with it. Your back will thank you. i think of i will have certainly made it so one shoulder is slightly bigger via toting my pc on one shoulder. additionally, do you fairly desire a pc specific bag? i could look right into a widespread backpage and a pc sleeve.
