Sager NP1850: $1,386 (Apparently, I can take off 90 dollars by contacting them about "special offers.." I don't know what those are, is it worth it?)

I wanted to cap off my price at 1,300 but the NP8150 might just be worth the extra ninety bucks?

The G53SW is manufactured by ASUS Computer International Direct and has been sold at Amazon since April 21, 2011. Based on the specs of the ASUS, it seems that this laptop is assembled with the power user in mind. For example, by including 8 GB of memory, ASUS Computer International Direct has ensured that the poweruser has plenty of memory to do what he needs to do! From what I can see, 8 GB of memory is sufficient to perform admirably.

In addition to the 8 GB of memory, the G53SW also features a 500 GB harddrive. For the average high end user, this will provide sufficient storage. Whether you are a power-user that requires space for Adobe documents, Excel spreadsheets, and other stuff or are a music enthusiast who needs room for music, the harddrive inside the ASUS G53SW will be enough. All told, I feel that the 500 GB HDD truly adds significant value to the ASUS G53SW.

For power users looking for a great picture, ASUS Computer International Direct has included a 15.6 inch monitor. The monitor on the ASUS G53SW creates a great picture that is easy to work from. So, whether you are a poweruser or a , the 15.6 inch screen is sure to make you happy. From the looks of several ASUS G53SW-XA1 reviews, I'm fairly certain many buyers are satisfied.

From a pure horsepower perspective, the ASUS G53SW-XA1 derives its power from the Core i7-2630QM. Running at 2 GHz, the brains of the ASUS are fast enough for the target audience of this machine: the power user. If you're a power user, the processing power of this computer ought to be sufficient for your needs. The positive ASUS G53SW-XA1 reviews which I've studied appear to support this as well.

They both have very similar specs. but from personal experience, i would go with the Asus. Asus is very good quality, and does not fail or break down easily as others. Sony and Asus are GREAT computer makes. great quality.
