I have an IBM ThinkPad T-43 type 2668-42U laptop. When I go into Control Panel~>system~>Hardware~>device manager~>Then I get a yellow "?" right under network devices and it doesn't specify what it is it just says unknown? What could it be? Thanks for the help.

It means that the device is unrecognized by Windows. All you have to do is go onto the www.lenovo.com website and download the chipset drivers for your model Thinkpad and also check if you have any other drivers while you're on their website that need to be updated. Lenovo is formally IBM.

YOUR DRIVER IS NOT INSTALLED , YOU NEED TO LOOK UP THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE "UNKNOWN DEVICE-?" . IF YOU dont the device wont work. Sry about the caps lol . If you need any assitance or walk through i will be glad to help. I always fix my computers.

Most likely a device without a driver installed.

can you get online with it? It means there is a problem with that device. Could be as simple as a driver update. Good luck
