Guess that you are trying to downgrade to XP and you are installing the XP drivers after having installed the XP operating system. You may have a unknown PCI Device shown in Device Manager. This is the most common type of error found in Device Manager because many device will need to use PCI. This will also occur when PC cannot find the PCI bridge driver or other driver. One can do the following: a) Try going to the Toshiba Website to download the correct driver. Finding these driver can be difficult if the manufacturer do not provide the necessary support for XP. b) Try to identify the missing device driver by using its ID tag in the detail Tab of the property page (doubleclick the faulty device) and search the Web for a driver If you are still using Vista, you should have make a system recovery disk. With this disk, one can reset the laptop back to its factory default and one does not need to worry about the drivers. Back up the data in the harddisk as it will be wiped off. If you don't have this recovery disk, get it from the manufacturer or buy it off the website or get someone to lend you his copy if he owns the same laptop
