How do i decide which comp processor would be good for me?

what i plan on using my laptop is for editing so any suggestions would be great

The type of editing would make the main decision. If you plan on doing graphic design or video editing I would really stay away from a laptop. Laptop Hard Drives are not designed for heavy extensive useage that desktops do. Depending on the amount of data you also wish to store, you will find limitations.
If you are only editing Word Documents or basic graphic, laptops are fine, however, get the updated video card for graphics.

Editing what? Text? Music? Film? For film you will need the fastest processor with the most memory and the fastest video card. Go to www.pricewatch.com to see a wide list of components.
If you are editing text or music, generally the cheapest one built after 2002 will do you.

work out how much $ u got then go from there
